We produce posters and graphics for brochures and
publicity displays, and technical plans for development design
specifications and legal documents.
We can distribute spatial data from geodatabases using internet map
servers, mashups on Google Earth, and virtual reality 3D
visualisations.
The visualisation of geographic data is NOT the same
as a computer graphic or CAD.
There are a number of ways that geographic information can be displayed.
2-Dimensional map visualisations can be produced from geographic databases
and are used for reports and poster displays. They can also be
displayed in a GIS viewer where the map data can be queried.
3-Dimensional and Virtual Environments can be produced from
databases and used for Virtual Reality displays and "flythrough's",
and for scenario simulations.
What is a Virtual Environment?
Geographic 3D virtual environments allow your data to be displayed
interacting with other data and geographic information in three
dimensions. Scenes can be viewed from any angle (both above and below
ground level) and element properties can be queried. Data can be
visualised in context with other information more effectively and
flexibly than on a 2 dimensional display such as a plan or map. These
can also be projected in stereo on a Geowall.
This means a better understanding and communication of your data in the
context of other geographic information and more effective decision
support.
A geographic information system (GIS) can be used to display
information. Geographic data can be assembled, displayed, queried and
analysed in context.
Your data can be presented on Google Earth in a mashup. This is an effective
way to present information within a context that others can understand.
